Photo Essay: Hoover Dam

For my birthday in Vegas two years ago, I had one request:

Could we go see the Hoover Dam?

Situated approximately at the state line between Nevada and Arizona, the Hoover Dam is an architectural marvel and an Art Deco masterpiece.

And I just had to go see it.

I didn't write about it at the time - partially because we didn't get to do the full tour and partially because I just didn't have anything to say about it -

...but now with the news of the Barker Dam closure in Joshua Tree National Park, I've got my mind on the other reservoirs and dams I have visited.

And for those who haven't gotten the chance to visit themselves...

...particularly parts of the interior that are accessible to tour groups only...

...I wanted to just...show it.
