I don't remember signing a liability waiver about the radiation but you do have to go through a background check and not bring anything with you (no cell phone, no camera, pretty much only your ID). We did get to get out of the bus and see Sedan crater, and a couple of the buildings, but not any of the old houses or mannequins they blew up or any of the areas where they bury toxic waste. And there's really no walking at all - just get out of the bus and look, and get back in the bus.Sandi Hemmerleinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16500439516140538378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1350406615166417147.post-24659482056612181462013-01-29T03:22:36.255-08:002013-01-29T03:22:36.255-08:00Hello, when did you book your seat on the bus? I was just sitting there the whole time trying to listen. Mostly desert pockmarked by nuclear tests. The Sedan crater is the only thing with a gee whiz factor. However, the history of the area is very interesting even for those not history buffs. The Death Valley 49er's had a rough time crossing the area. And there was a silver boom and bust town called Wahmonie located in Jackass Flats. Lots more.
