Scary Food


Sea urchin bisque at Sea Rocket Bistro in North Park, San Diego. It's served in its own spiky dark purple shell (though they'll put it in a cup for you if you're a scaredy cat).

You can also order fresh sea urchin in its own shell but I was scaredy of the spongey texture.

I did have a grilled whole sardine which I filleted myself and some amazing Winchester gouda with honey. Now making plans to visit the Winchester Cheese Company...
